A month of unexpected blessings.
First of all, we want to apologize that this newsletter has been so much later than other newsletters. Jocelyn got sick the week we usually write, edit and release our newsletter hence the later release.
Life on the Hill continues to be a steady journey of growth. Our walk with the Lord deepens daily, and that joy is only intensified as we witness His providence at work in the lives of the men and women in our program.

Unexpectedly the first week of April, Jocelyn’s grandmother passed away and went to be with our Lord. So we decided to drive down to North Carolina to spend time with family. We were glad to finally be within driving distance of this side of Jocelyn's family! And not only that, we had the joy of visiting our beloved friends again—Pastor James, Anne, and Jason in Pennsylvania. It was a short but meaningful trip, filled with good conversations and precious time with loved ones.

After getting back on the Hill, to our surprise, His Mansion hired a team of loggers to harvest lumber, and a section of pines that needed removal happened to be right in front of our house. After they were cut down, we were left with the most stunning view straight from our living room!
Easter was very fruitful and a heart-warming time for many of the residents.
Here is Griggs the main eating area during Easter Sunday.

Another surprise was two staff members named Andrew and Gio at His Mansion offered to take Kane out to eat burgers and fries at Red Robin and go playing games together at Dave and Busters.
While Andrew and Gio took Kane out on a unforgettable evening...

Rune surprised Jocelyn with a date night in Manchester, NH at a restaurant called The Foundry. We enjoyed a wonderful evening of delicious local food and got to spend special time together which we cherish.
As we look ahead to the graduation of the next phase of Men and Women Residents and welcoming new residents in June, Rune’s weeks have been full of interviews with men seeking transformation. This calls for prayerful discernment and wisdom to ensure the right candidates are welcomed in. We have about six weeks left to prepare.
Of course, while we count it all joy, Rune's days are often filled with challenge and spiritually hard work. Daily care of the men on their road to recovery means constantly pointing them back to the sufficiency of the gospel.
Before coming to know Christ, Rune worked in a new age counseling role and was haunted by the sense that he couldn’t truly help anyone. And while Rune knows he still can’t help anyone to heal in his own strength, God in His grace, is pleased to use him in His work here on the Hill. That truth is what continues to fuel him to keep going and to delight in the work God is doing in all of our lives here on the Hill.
We are so grateful for your prayers—they truly mean the world to us.
Please continue to pray:
For wisdom and discernment as Rune continues to interview men for the program and decides who will be invited to join.
For Kane’s growth in homeschooling, development in speech, and healing from a lingering cold.
For Jocelyn’s strength and steadfastness as she pours into others through hospitality and uses our home as a place of ministry and connection.
For the four men and four women already accepted into the program starting June 23—that they would be protected and remain free from addiction as they wait to enter.
For those currently in the program who are approaching graduation—a time that often brings tension. Pray for softened hearts and a deep receptivity to God’s truth being spoken into their lives.
