A Joy-Filled August in New Hampshire

Dear Friends and Family,

We are so thankful for your continued prayers and encouragement as we walk through life in ministry here in New Hampshire. August has been a month overflowing with fellowship and reminders of God’s faithfulness.

We currently have 15 Men at His Mansion, seven joined the program in August. And each one of the residents are growing tremendously already. Thank you to each of you that pray for this ministry.

One of the highlights of this month was welcoming Rune’s sister, brother-in-law, and their three-year-old daughter from Holland for three weeks! Their visit was such a blessing, and we were able to make many wonderful memories together.

We explored the Flume Gorge, hiked its breathtaking trails, enjoyed a relaxing day at Rye Beach, and stepped back in time at the Plymouth-Patuxet Museum. Each outing reminded us of God’s beauty in creation and His hand throughout history.

Another special event was our church’s annual Float & Feast picnic—a day filled with food, fellowship, and floating down the river. The most moving moment came when we witnessed the baptism of dear friends who, like us, were saved out of New Age spirituality. Watching them publicly declare their faith stirred our hearts with deep gratitude for the transforming work of the Lord in our own lives.

We were also invited to share our testimony at a young adults’ Christian social night hosted by the Neff family from our church. It was humbling and encouraging to recount God’s work in our lives.

The very next day, after church, we joined this same family for a trip to Drake’s Island in Maine to celebrate Kane’s birthday. With a grill on the beach, we enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, and cupcakes—our toes in the sand and our hearts full.

Speaking of birthdays—Happy Birthday, Kane!

He celebrated with his very first pet, a betta fish named Nemo, along with a bug-catching kit and books about spiders (a new fascination!).

As we shared last month, Rune is beginning his Pastoral Internship at our church this month! His responsibilities currently include leading in singing and, soon, assisting in Adult Sunday School by teaching Systematic Theology. Part of the program includes required reading, and he has been encouraged to start building a library of sound, theologically rich resources that will serve both his current studies and future ministry.

The current reading list totals about $500, and an additional $100 would help cover clothing suitable for his ministry work. If you would like to help support these practical needs, your contribution would be greatly appreciated and directly equips Rune for his ministry responsibilities.

August has truly been a month of connection—both with family and with our church family here. We are continually amazed at the ways God weaves relationships together to strengthen and encourage His people.

Thank you for walking alongside us in prayer and support.

Prayer Requests:

  • Praise God for the many opportunities we had this month to share fellowship, testimony, and His goodness.

  • Please pray for the 7 new Men that are in the program.

  • That the Lord would bring more Male & Female Servant Leaders

  • Our Lord would continue to encourage our 5 Male Servant Leaders & 2 Female Servant Leaders.

  • Lasting fruit from the testimonies we shared—that hearts would be stirred toward Christ.

  • Wisdom and strength for Rune in his ministry role at His Mansion.

  • Kane as he continues to grow and adjust to life here.

  • Pray for continued deepening of relationships within our church family and community.

  • Pray for ongoing provision for our family as we serve in ministry.

With love and gratitude,

Rune, Jocelyn, and Kane
