Dear Family and Friends,

Rune Kane and Jocelyn July 2025

We are so grateful for your continued prayers and encouragement as we have been continuing to settle into everyday life and ministry here at His Mansion.

July was full of memorable moments, ministry fellowship, and a few surprises from God’s creation!🌈⛈️

Kane Lekkerkerker Fourth of July 2025

We began the month with a simple yet joyful Fourth of July celebration. Our little family spent the day with the community at His Mansion cookout. Kane wore his favorite outfit as you can see here ➡️ .

Afterwards we watched the beautiful sunset followed by some fireworks we could see from our dining room over the mountains in the distance.

One of the highlights of the summer here at His Mansion is the Summer Shindig, our annual talent show for the staff and residents. This year, I had the joy of hosting the evening alongside my friend Cierra. We dressed up as country church grandmas and made everyone laugh which was wonderful. Kane had a performance of “Honey in the Rock” that he performed karaoke style and he was warmly received. Residents and staff shared songs, poems and skits. The night ended with a warm feeling in each of our hearts.

There have been many absolutely stunning sunsets through July. Midway through the month, we experienced a powerful thunderstorm. While the rain was heavy enough to wash out some of the roads on the hill, it was followed by the breathtaking sight of a double rainbow stretching across the sky—a reminder of God’s faithfulness and promises that remain unshaken even when storms come.

We also had the chance to enjoy our first family trip to the beach at Rye, NH. We enjoyed sitting on the beach letting Kane play in the waves at Wallis Sands Beach. While there we also went to the Seacoast Science Center and Kane loved seeing fish that looked just like Nemo and Dory from the movie Finding Nemo. The ocean air, the sand between our toes, and the joy on our son’s face made it a day we won’t soon forget. It was a blessing to step away for a little while and take in God’s beauty together as a family.

This was a well needed time off the hill since we have not had a moment for just our family which was purely recreational since moving to New Hampshire. We have started to do a new protocol regarding intake. Instead of having intake be three times a year, His Mansion Ministries have decided to keep intake open mostly throughout the year.

While we are grateful that people seeking recovery can join the program more freely, this change has made Rune’s job more challenging. Since every time that Men enter the program it can change the harmony in the dorm as well as the new residents have a “healing curve” so to speak where they are needing guidance through their time getting comfortable in the program. We are needing prayer more than ever, for the Lord to equip Rune with wisdom, patience and stamina to keep up with the current work load.

We also learned the exciting news in July that Rune had been accepted in a Pastoral Internship program held by our current church, Reformation Bible Church with Pastors Gabe Rogers and Roger Davis through XL Ministries Internship. Rune will be getting Leadership training to become a Pastor! Over the next 2 to 3 years, Rune will be studying through the program to become a qualified Elder through our church, so please pray for him as he embarks on this new chapter.

As we look back on July, our hearts are filled with gratitude—for God’s presence in both the big events and the small moments, and for each of you who walk alongside us in prayer and support. Your partnership allows us to be here serving in this ministry, and we couldn’t do it without you.

With love and thankfulness,

The Lekkerkerkers

Rune, Jocelyn & Kane
