As 2025 came to a close and we stepped into the new year, the past few months were marked by both unexpected challenges and sweet moments of grace.
November began with Jocelyn experiencing a season of sickness during pregnancy that slowed life down considerably. It was a humbling reminder of our dependence on the Lord during those physically challenging moments.
By the grace of God, Jocelyn recovered just before Thanksgiving and we were grateful to spend that time with the Neff family at their house with their relatives and a close friend from church. It was a time of warmth, encouragement, and fellowship that refreshed our spirits more than we can express. God is so good to give us family time when our own is so far away! Most of the Neff kids are great friends with Kane!
Unfortunately, December brought another round of illness for Jocelyn and this time Rune was sick as well! Kane was able to not get sick both months which we are grateful for (Kane says he's strong in the Lord)! Only a few days after recovering from our sickness, we were blessed by Rune’s mother visiting from Holland for an entire month.

We enjoyed going to the candle light service at our Church all together which we will cherish in our memories forever. Her presence brought joy, support, and meaningful family connection during the holiday season.
One highlight during the last day of her visit was a trip to the Boston Public Library, a memorable outing where we got to see the beautiful architecture all together before saying our goodbye and her leaving for Holland once more.
Just into the new year we also were able to go get an ultrasound of our growing little baby girl! Look at her little nose!

On the ministry front, January marked a significant intake period, bringing new men into the program. At the same time, there was also a noticeable shift as many men unfortunately were dismissed from the program for various reasons. We continue to trust the Lord’s work in each man and remain grateful for the time we are given to walk alongside them. But we would appreciate your prayers for the hand-full of men that left the program.
We have ended January with a major snowstorm, we received over 2ft (30 inches!!) of snow! It was exciting for all of us to see as we have never seen this much snow before. Here are some pictures below...
Through sickness, goodbyes, and storms (both literal and figurative), we are continually reminded of God’s faithfulness. Thank you for walking with us through prayer, encouragement, and support as we step into this New Year with hope and trust in His plans.
Thank you for praying for us, supporting us, and being patient as we have been late releasing these updates!
Prayer Request:
Pray for the Lord’s protection over Jocelyn and the baby, and for strength throughout the coming months.
Pray for the new male residents as they hear the word of God that their hearts will be receptive to the gospel.
Pray for the upcoming Galentine's Day Party at our home for the women residents as this will be an opportunity to show the love of Christ to these women.
Pray for faithfulness, clarity, and spiritual growth for Rune as he continues his Pastoral Internship studies combined with ministry responsibilities.
Pray for Kane's Speech Development with homeschool as he continues to grow in independence.
And please pray for Kane as we work with him to confirm his faith and ensure that he walks in obedience to God, preparing him for baptism.
With Gratitude,
Rune, Jocelyn, Kane & Baby
