A Season of Celebration & Surprises
The past couple of months have been full for us here at His Mansion. As summer came to an end in sweet September, we celebrated with our community and staff cookout in our front yard. It was one of those New Hampshire evenings that are warm by day with a crisp breeze by night. We enjoyed smoked ribs and pulled pork, and moments like that remind us how special this community truly is.

Not long after, four residents were prepared to graduate from the program. If you would like to see their testimonies, you can watch them here. This was actually the first graduation we missed in person because Rune officiated his very first wedding for Jocelyn’s little sister and her husband in Ohio!
It was a beautiful ceremony, and it was such a sweet time with family. On our way to and from Ohio, we stayed with Pastor James and his wife, Anne, in Pennsylvania. They have poured so much wisdom and encouragement into our lives, and our time with them was filled with heartfelt conversations and good food—the kind of fellowship that fills your heart back up.

Back at His Mansion, the ministry has been growing in big ways. We've welcomed several new residents, bringing us to 21 men and 8 women—the largest number since we arrived a year ago! It has been exciting (and busy!) to watch the program fill up with new faces and to already see glimpses of God’s work in each person’s story.
In October, Rune was able to attend a Men's Leadership conference at our church led by XL Ministries President Rocky Wyatt. Rune has also been diligently studying in the Pastoral Internship Program, and we want to thank each of you who helped provide what he needed for clothing and study materials. Your support has meant so much.

We have also been waiting to share a huge announcement—a gift from the Lord after three years of trying. We have finally conceived a child. We are now thirteen, almost fourteen weeks along, and so excited to nurture this little one. We expect his or her arrival around May 26th (which is Jocelyn's birthday). One reason our ministry letters have been delayed is that Jocelyn’s first trimester has been filled with the usual symptoms: nausea and fatigue. We hope you understand the delay in releasing this newsletter.
Through October, we have noticed a unity and connection among the community, staff, and residents that we have not experienced before. For that, we are incredibly grateful. As we move into the colder months, we feel deeply thankful for the growth in the residents’ lives and for the privilege of being part of what God is doing here every single day.
Thank you for praying for us, supporting us, and walking with us through this journey.
It truly means so much to us.
Prayer Request:
Pray for the Lord’s protection over Jocelyn and the baby, and for strength throughout the coming months.
Pray for the residents as they hear the word of God that their hearts will be receptive to the gospel.
Pray for faithfulness, clarity, and spiritual growth for Rune as he continues his Pastoral Internship studies.
Pray for Kane's Speech Development with homeschool as he continues to grow in independence.
With Love from The Lekkerkerker Family,
Rune, Jocelyn, Kane and Coming Little One
